PlentyWaka Unveils ‘Scan and Ride’ Feature, Expands Routes

Technology-driven premium vehicle hailing service provider, PlentyWaka, has recently launched new vehicles, expanded its services to more routes in different parts of Lagos and has recently introduced the 'Scan and Ride' feature to allow its riders access to its premium services.

The vehicle hailing service, which was launched into the transportation industry in September 2019 to provide hassle-free transportation to the everyday Nigerian at pocket-friendly rates, has also unveiled a new feature where both new and existing riders can simply take a ride, check-in and check-out using the QR codes on the vehicles. This is called the 'Scan and Ride' feature.

With this feature, riders can simply scan to download the app, check-in and check-out of the vehicles using their smartphones. The 'Scan and Ride' feature was introduced along with the new vehicles that were recently launched on the PlentyWaka platform.

Recall that PlentyWaka launched its services with 25 vehicles and in 5 months since its launch, the technology-driven platform has increased its capacity with the launch of new vehicles.

These new vehicles were introduced through the PlentyWaka Vehicle Partnership Scheme, aimed at accommodating the growing number of its users.

Meanwhile, the PentyWaka Vehicle Partnership (PVP) was introduced to provide individuals the opportunity to not only register their vehicles on the platform for free, but they also earn up to 500k monthly.

The PVP Scheme has 3 onboarding opportunities available which include the Vehicle Onboarding package that allows vehicle owners to register their own vehicles on the platform.

There is also the Vehicle Lease Financing package which provides the opportunity for individuals to incur 30% of equity cost and 70% provided by a Vehicle Leasing Company through a partnership that will generate revenues for all the parties involved.

The final package is the Vehicle Purchase with Cars 45 which provides the opportunity to simply sign up to purchase a quality vehicle and the vehicle will be registered on the platform.

The good news however, is that all the vehicles will remain the assets of its owners and will not belong to PlentyWaka or its partners.

Johnny Enagwolor, the Managing Director and Co-Founder of PlentyWaka said: “This PlentyWaka partnership will introduce Nigerians to a new way of not only making money but also empowering their fellow citizens by creating multiple job opportunities for individuals with little or no source of income.”

PlentyWaka, which initially kick-started its operations from the Ajah-CMS-Ajah route, has expanded to Abraham Adesanya and Awoyaya as well as launched a new route from CMS (Outer Marina) to Eko Hotel Roundabout with future plans of expansion to even more routes, cities, and states within the country.

The company had said that improving the transportation system is its core objective and had in 5 months, achieved over 20,000 ride bookings monthly, with over 1000 riders moved daily and over 20,000 mobile app downloads recorded.

PlentyWaka is a bus sharing solution that offers commuters convenience, safety and comfort in their daily rides and provides a convenient and effective driving experience one route at a time.

We have the likes of nkiru onyejeocha who kept enjoying our democracy dividends, and using our money to buy praises to her name in the line buying wrapper and rice for her party faithfuls, I thought she boast of attracting federal government attention to her people or is that one part of her political propaganda. Let her come ooo its time to give back to her people.
