Sylvie Becker Joins Board Of ACT Afrique Group

Pan-African expert in strategic consulting, finance, and communication- ACT Afrique Group has announced the appointment of Mrs. Sylvie Becker as a member of the Board of Directors, by a decision on January 2, 2022.

Born in Senegal, Sylvie Becker is Belgian and Senegalese, and spent her childhood between Senegal and Morocco, before moving to Belgium and then to the United States as part of her university studies.

Her professional career also includes stints at Citibank North America, UBS Switzerland, Lloyds Private Bank, Lombard Odier, Banque Cantonale de Genève.

She has a solid experience of more than 20 years in corporate strategy, digital, marketing, communication, with a specialization in digital finance.

Until 2021, she held the position of Executive Director of Rawsur Assurances, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, a pioneer in digital insurance.

Additionally, she was a member of the Management Committee, in charge of strategy, digital marketing, communication, and human capital.

Becker, who lives and works in an international context, is now mobilizing her expertise with leading pan-African players such as Attijariwafa Bank CBAO (Senegal), Rawsur Assurances (RDC), and the launch of digital banks in Africa.

This change in our board of directors brings new expertise to the company and strengthens the services we offer in the areas of digital finance and strategic communication,” said Professor Muhammadou M.O. Kah, Chairman of the Board of Directors at ACT Afrique Group.

“Whether it’s finance, marketing, or communication, the world is already digital. I am happy to be able to contribute to the growth of ACT Afrique Group whose subsidiary ACT Afrique Communication embraces this reality for the benefit of its clients in Africa,” says Sylvie Becker.
