Access Bank on Wednesday unveiled the Season 15 of its DiamondXtra Savings Promo at a well-attended event held at the bank’s Computer Village branch, Ikeja Lagos.

Tagged XtraAwoof Season, the bank said the promo is part of an effort aimed at transforming the lives of Nigerians as well as encouraging their savings culture. This season alone, the bank will be rewarding over 1,000 lucky customers with a whopping sum of N135m.

The lucky customers are expected to emerge from different categories of rewards including Loyalty rewards, Regional Draws, Regional Onsite Draws, Free Digital Marketing Training, and Digital Cluster Draws.

All a customer needed to do was to open a DiamondXtra account with as little as N5000 and maintain a N5,000 deposit to qualify for the draws.

Speaking at the event yesterday, Njideka Esomeju, Group Head, Consumer Banking at Access Bank, said the campaign will be taken to every part of the country including the North, West, East, and South. “People will be rewarded because we want to enrich and bless people’s lives.”

“We are also conducting digital training for our customers, to enable them to gain more knowledge on how to carry out their businesses. We are doing this just to say thank you for having a DiamondXtra Account and to help you to enrich your life.

“We have done it for 15 years and we are very proud of the feedback. This year, we are doing XtraAwoof, meaning we are giving cash to many more people because we want more people to benefit. Some are going to get N1 million, and some will get less for loyalty rewards. Some will get N10,000 and more for their loyalty to the bank; customers remain our priority.

“We are all about providing customer-focused solutions to serve the needs of our customers in real-time, encouraging them to imbibe the savings culture to be able to achieve their dreams. We have also continued to evolve and offer various digital services and propositions that our customers would need and find most useful at this time, hence the DiamondXtra Digital marketing training,” Esomeju said.XTRA

Bolarinwa Animashaun, the Regional Sales Director, Lagos at Access Bank said the bank is richly dependent on its customers hence the zeal to always go with them with the DiamondXtra Savings promo, noting that the reason for the continuation of the reward scheme was borne out of the need for the bank to continue rewarding its customers for their loyalty.

“We have given out more than N6.3 billion since the DiamondXtra promo started over 15 years ago. The process has always been transparent, and this is why we have always been working with the National Lottery Commission and the Consumer Protection Agency who monitor all the draws,” he said.

“This is real, and it has been happening and we are happy that it has been happening. The fact that it happens is because of our dear customers who have been there through thick and thin. I know the economy is going through a lot. We are all going through a lot. But I think opportunities or initiatives like this reassure us that there is always positivity.

Suzzy Onwuka from the Lagos office of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) said the Commission has been monitoring the DiamondXtra promo and could certify the exercise as very customer-friendly.

“Since we have been monitoring this programme, it has been transparent. We have never heard any complaint from any winner about not receiving their prize. Looking at their terms and conditions, they are very friendly and that attests to how they have carried on. Kudos to Access Bank for rewarding their customers,” she said.

A past winner of N1 million in the promo, Mrs. Ngozi Iheanacho, gave a testimonial of the reward promo and praised the bank for its transparency, commitment, and integrity, and used the opportunity to encourage other DiamondXtra customers to trust the scheme and have faith that they could win one day.

During the on-site draws at the unveiling of the Season 15 DiamondXtra promo, 40 customers were rewarded with N10,000 each for either maintaining an existing DiamondXtra account or opening one at the event venue. Some of the lucky winners include Mukaila Olakasim, Oteri Joshua, Chinelo Precious Maduakor, and Lydia Lucky among others.

DiamondXtra is an interest-yielding hybrid account that allows the deposit of both cash and third-party cheques, currently has over 2.4 million customers with over 26,393 customers so far being rewarded with more than N6.35 billion since its inception in 2008.

To stand a chance to win in the DiamondXtra season 15, all a prospective customer needs to do is simply walk into any access Bank branch or dial *901*5#, follow the prompt, and deposit a minimum of  N5,000.

The more multiples of N5000 you save, the more you stand a high chance of winning millions in the draws.
