The Abia State Government has announced plans to host the Abia Business Roundtable 2026, a high-level forum aimed at strengthening collaboration between government and the private sector to drive sustainable economic growth and investment across the state.
The event, themed “Government Meets Business: Where Vision Meets Enterprise”, is scheduled for Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the International Conference Centre, Umuahia.
Governor Alex Chioma Otti, who also chairs the Governing Council of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) & Investment Promotion Office, will preside over the Roundtable.
He will be joined by Mr. Chinedum Chijioke, Director-General/CEO of the PPP & Investment Promotion Office and Executive Vice Chairman of the Governing Council.
According to the state government, the Roundtable will spotlight the key policy thrusts and growth trajectory of the current administration, while fostering real-time conversations with business leaders.
It will also provide a direct dialogue platform with the Governor and his economic management team.
The initiative underscores the administration’s commitment to empowering enterprises, strengthening public-private partnerships, and positioning Abia as a premier destination for sustainable investment and inclusive prosperity.
Hon. Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, described the Roundtable as a strategic engagement designed to accelerate economic transformation and create opportunities for businesses to thrive in Abia State.
