Abia State Ministry of Justice has embarked on a significant digital transformation initiative to modernize its processes and documents following the approval of Governor Alex Otti, reports Digital TimesNG.

Led by the Honourable Attorney-General of the State, Mr. Ikechukwu Uwanna, the initiative aims to back scanning of all of the Ministry’s papers and streamline workflows, thereby integrating technology to ensure effective administration of justice.

The initiative will also provide law officers with easy access to crucial documents and court records, anytime, anywhere, and would also increase transparency and accountability in legal matters, ultimately facilitating timely and efficient dispensation of justice for the people of Abia State.

Digital TimesNG understands that the key features of this initiative include an online directory for storing, accessing, and managing all relevant legal documents and court processes.

Standardized templates for various legal documents will be provided to guide law officers and ensure consistency. The platform will also facilitate seamless communication and collaboration among law officers.

This digitalization drive aligns perfectly with the vision of His Excellency, Dr. Alex C. Otti, the Executive Governor of Abia State, to leverage technology for good governance and service delivery.

The Abia State Ministry of Justice is committed to embracing innovation and leveraging technology to enhance the justice system in Abia State.

This initiative is expected to significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of legal services and ultimately benefit the people of Abia State. It will also prepare the Ministry of Justice to the e-filing and litigation process that the Judiciary will introduce soon.
