Ghana is set to deepen its economic and tourism relations with Nigeria as the Ghana Tourism Authority, in partnership with trade and industry stakeholders, rolls out the Ghana International Expo and Investment Forum in Lagos.

Scheduled for September 24–27, 2025, at the Eko FM Auditorium, Agidingbi, Ikeja, the landmark event is designed to position Ghana as a prime hub for business, tourism, and cross-border investment.

With the theme, “Unlocking Investment Potential Through Intra-African Trade and Tourism,” the Expo will assemble Ghanaian entrepreneurs, investors, government officials, and global business leaders to explore fresh opportunities.

It will spotlight Ghana’s value propositions across key industries, including agriculture, manufacturing, technology, finance, services, fashion, creative arts, and promote regional trade integration.

Speaking ahead of the event, Mrs. Maame Efua Houadjeto, CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority, underlined its strategic importance. “This Expo is more than a showcase, it is a gateway for Ghanaian businesses to position themselves as global players. It also strengthens our economic ties with Nigeria and opens new markets across Africa and beyond.

“As the agency mandated to promote tourism, we recognize the Expo as a vital tool in driving regional integration and supporting the objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA),” she stated.

The four-day forum will feature business exhibitions of Ghanaian products and services, investment panels on trade policy and financing, as well as networking opportunities for businesses, investors, and policymakers.

In addition, a cultural showcase highlighting Ghana’s heritage through music, fashion, and the arts will celebrate the nation’s creative identity.

Organizers expect participants from across Africa and the diaspora, including trade associations, government representatives, private sector leaders, and development partners.

The initiative aligns with Ghana’s broader economic agenda to diversify exports, attract investments, and position the country as a competitive hub for trade and innovation under the AfCFTA framework.

Established as an annual platform, the Ghana International Expo and Investment Forum promotes Ghanaian enterprise, trade, tourism, and strategic partnerships. It seeks to empower local industries and reinforce Ghana’s image as a dynamic, innovative, and investment-ready nation.
