Gov Aliyu Lauds Matawalle For Commitment To Tackling North-West Security Crisis

Governor Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto State has commended the Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, for his dedication to resolving the security crisis in the North-West.

Governor Aliyu spoke during a joint inspection of the ongoing development of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) 119 Composite Group (CG) provisional layout in Sokoto State with the Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle.

Digital TimesNG understands that the joint inspection was a strong show of the Federal Government’s dedication to bolstering national security.

During the visit, Dr. Matawalle commended the dedication and professionalism of Nigerian Air Force personnel, stating, “The Nigerian Air Force plays a vital role in protecting our nation.

“The Federal Government is committed to providing all necessary resources to ensure operational efficiency, particularly in addressing security challenges in the North-West.”

He reaffirmed the government’s determination to strengthen NAF’s capabilities as part of its strategic efforts to combat insecurity in the region.

Governor Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto praised the collaboration between the Federal and State Governments in tackling security challenges, stating, “Sokoto State fully supports the Armed Forces.

“We are dedicated to providing all necessary assistance to ensure peace and stability for our people.”

He vowed to maintain close cooperation to strengthen security in the state and throughout the region and praised the commitment of the Minister of State for Defence.

“The Minister has demonstrated resilience and courage by venturing into what was once considered a ‘no-go area,’ even reopening regions that had been abandoned by our people,” he said.

During the visit, the Honourable Minister and the Governor were briefed by the Unit Commander on the project’s progress.

Brigadier General I.A. Ajose, the GOC of 8 Division, along with other senior military officers, were also in attendance.
