LASPEMA Partners eTranzact To Curb Unregulated Development In Lagos State

  • LASPEMA Is Saddled With Challenges Associated With Managing & Regulating Activities On Setbacks

In a bid to curb unregulated development within incidental open spaces in Lagos State, LASPEMA, the Lagos State Planning and Environmental Monitoring Authority has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with eTranzact Plc, reports Digital TimesNG.

In attendance at the event which took place at the Conference Room of the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Alausa, was the Special Adviser on EGIS and Planning Matters, Mr. Olajide Babatunde who represented the Commissioner of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mr. Omotayo Bankoshe Martins.

Babatunde lauded the public-private sector initiative as a welcome development and spoke of the Ministry’s desire to drive the much-needed meaningful infrastructural development within the State through such partnerships, with the unflinching support of the leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who has endorsed the initiative.

General Manager of LASPEMA, Mr. Daisi Osho said the agency was saddled with addressing challenges that are associated with managing and regulating activities on setbacks to ensure ordesetbackshile leveraging technology provided by eTranzact and added that the MOU would kick-start the business of LASPEMA.

Niyi Toluwalope, MD/CEO, eTranzact Plc, commended the collaboration and partnership with LASPEMA, adding that eTranzact is excited that the Lagos State Government has taken this laudable initiative to identify the setbacks, enumerate the people on these setbacks, do the necessary data capture, and manage the entire setback infrastructure in the State.

He further stated that “This will vastly improve beautification, ensure transparency within the environment, and guaranty that critical urban infrastructure is well laid out in the proper manner to ensure Lagos functions as a major critical landmark with global recognition.”

He assured that eTranzact is committed to partnering with the State government to build a beautiful and prosperous Smart City for all.

Others present at the MOU signing ceremony were top executives from eTranzact including Sunday Agboola (Group Head, Public Sector, South); Eme Godwin (Group Head, Legal Services); Emmanuel Ogunji (Chief Financial Officer); Victor Adeliyi (Head, Education Collections); and Ayodeji Afolabi (Business Development Manager, Public Sector Collections)
