Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, says the state’s ambitious infrastructure push is being powered by funds freed up through President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s removal of oil subsidy.
Speaking at the Government House, Enugu, when he hosted a federal government delegation led by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, the governor praised the policy as a bold and transformative step that has enabled states like Enugu to fulfil campaign promises.
The visit formed part of activities for the two-day Citizens’ Engagement Series in the South East geopolitical zone.
“For us in Enugu, we are able to accomplish all we promised our people during the campaign, thanks to the bold decision taken by President Bola Tinubu, which has freed up resources needed to execute humongous capital projects,” Mbah said.
He highlighted some of the projects currently underway in the state, including the construction of 7,000 classrooms, provision of 3,300 hospital beds, and the development of 2,000 hectares across 260 farm estates, one in each ward of the state.
Governor Mbah further pledged continued support for the federal government’s policies, affirming that they are in the best interest of the people of Enugu State.
Meanwhile, modern roads, upgraded schools, and improved public facilities in Enugu State stand as clear evidence that President Bola Tinubu’s policies are delivering tangible benefits to Nigerians, according to the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to Governor Peter Mbah on Thursday, as part of the two-day Citizens’ Engagement Series and Federal Government Projects Tour of the South East, Idris stressed the administration’s inclusive approach to national development.
“The Tinubu administration is committed to ensuring that no region is left behind in Nigeria’s development drive,” the Minister declared. “What we are seeing in Enugu—modern roads, upgraded schools, improved public facilities—is proof that President Tinubu’s policies are translating into real benefits for the people.”
