  • Guarantees trusted and transparent selection process

In a bold step to deepen its continental reach and spotlight Africa’s most transformative business and technology leaders, the CIO & C-Suite Awards Africa has officially opened nominations for its 2025 edition, Digital TimesNG reports.

Now in its sixth year, the Awards platform has grown into one of Africa’s most respected recognitions for digital leadership, and this year, it’s bigger than ever.

What began as a regional celebration of Chief Information Officers and senior tech executives has evolved into a continent-wide initiative, now welcoming nominations from 15 countries: Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Ghana, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Togo, South Africa, Angola, Zambia, Morocco, Tunisia, and Egypt.

This expansion underscores a strong commitment to recognizing excellence and leadership across the continent, fostering collaboration, and inspiring the next generation of innovators.

The 2025 edition will honour not only CIOs but also CTOs, CDOs, and other C-suite leaders who are harnessing technology to drive innovation, scale enterprise value, and transform industries. From fintech disruptors in Lagos to public sector digitization champions in Nairobi, the Awards aim to spotlight exceptional leadership that’s shaping Africa’s digital future.

According to Abiola Laseinde, Convener of the CIO & C-Suite Awards Africa and CEO of Edniesal Consulting, “This year’s expansion reflects our deep commitment to showcasing Africa’s finest in technology and enterprise leadership. We are building a pan-African stage to spotlight those shaping the continent’s digital future.”

The organisers say nominations are now open across a wide range of sectors, including Education, Other Financial Institutions, Fintech, Media, Telecommunication, Technology Services, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Banking, Agriculture, Aviation, Public and Social Services, Energy and Health.

These categories reflect the diversity and dynamism of the African business landscape, and the Awards aim to celebrate leaders making a measurable impact in these fields.

All nominations will be reviewed by a distinguished jury comprising respected industry leaders and subject matter experts. The awards process receives technical support from Deloitte Nigeria, while KPMG Nigeria serves as independent assurance partner, ensuring transparency, credibility, and alignment with global best practices. Nominees will be evaluated based on innovation, leadership, impact, and strategic alignment with business goals.

Nominations are open to the public. Organizations, peers, and industry stakeholders are encouraged to submit nominations for professionals who exemplify exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and a commitment to digital transformation within their organizations and sectors.

Nominations for the CIO & C-Suite Awards will be accepted from June 2nd through August 31st, 2025. Interested parties can submit their nominations by visiting www.thecioawards.ng.
