Smile Communications and Alternative Bank, a part of the Sterling Bank Group, have joined forces to celebrate Children’s Day with the students of Olusosun Primary School in Ojota.

This initiative, which was held on the 28th of May 2024, was designed to ensure that every child feels valued and included in the festivities.

As part of its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Alternative Bank treated the children of Olusosun Primary School to a special day filled with fun activities and delicious meals.

The bank’s initiative reflects its dedication to uplifting communities and making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.

In support of this noble cause, Smile Communications has generously donated exercise books to all the children, enhancing their learning experience and complementing Alternative Bank’s feeding programme.

This contribution is a testament to Smile Communications’ ongoing CSR efforts, which have included extensive initiatives to support education and literacy nationwide.

‘Goke Olaleye, Head of Marketing Operations at Smile Communications, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “At Smile Communications, we believe in the power of education to transform lives.

“By partnering with Alternative Bank to celebrate Children’s Day, we are not only providing essential resources to these children but also fostering a sense of community and belonging.”

The collaboration between Smile Communications and Alternative Bank underscores their shared commitment to making a positive impact in the communities they serve.

Together, they aim to inspire other organizations to prioritize corporate citizenship and invest in the future generation.

Reflecting on the initiative, industry observers have coined the term “Smile and Learn to Write,” recognizing the profound impact of Smile Communications’ dedication to education and literacy.
