Ziggy Water, a new table water production company has sensationally taken over the table water market in the Southeastern part of Nigeria, few months after commencing operation, with the National Agency for Food Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) certifying it as a high-quality product.

Located at Mbala Isuochi, in the Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State, Ziggy Water has been validated by industry regulators as being rich in antioxidants, reputed for its extra-ordinary quality, freshness, purity, reliability, and operating within the boundaries of international standards.

Produced under the strictest level of quality control and very clean and hygienic environment, Ziggy Water which has become a household name and toast of consumers in the Southeastern region of Nigeria is well-packaged with well-sealed cover that protects it against germs and dust and comes in safe plastic pet bottles and sachets.ZIGGY WATER 3

Ziggy Water, a product of Ken Nab & Sons Nigeria Limited, is seen across cities in the Southeast as a high-quality, carefully produced water with a satisfying taste and feel, for the rehydration and safety of consumers, having gone through a multistep process of filtration and purification powered by modern technology.

In an exclusive interview with our correspondent, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Ken Nab & Sons Nigeria Limited, Chief Nwabunna Achu said Ziggy Water was borne out of the need to close the yawning gap in the table water business, especially in the Southeast where water consumers have been yearning for pure water to drink.

“Ziggy Water was established to close the yawning gap in the table water business here. Our own brand of water offers numerous benefits such as acting as an insulator by way of regulating internal body temperature, especially during sweaty periods.

“Some time ago, data from the Environmental Working Group (EWG), a research and advocacy group in the USA, had labelled some bottled water overseas undrinkable, including Nigeria. Yet, in another report released by the World Health Organization (WHO), about 4,000 children die daily from water-borne diseases for lack of pure potable water.

“It is these horrible stats that inspired us into starting this water business because pure drinking water has become a scarce commodity, paving the way for the ravaging threat of diarrhea, cholera, and typhoid as primary killers of children and adults in Africa, particularly Nigeria.

“We all know that water is life and one of the most essential entities for human survival. Water remains the most crucial resource that should be prioritised in terms of availability, safety, affordability, accessibility, and quality because potable water is essential to life,” Chief Achu said.

The Ziggy Water boss noted that water of good drinking quality is of basic importance to human physiology and for that reason, man’s continued existence depends very heavily on its availability, regretting however, that good drinking water has remained a challenge, particularly in under-developed and developing countries like Nigeria.

Chief Achu said the water company deployed the latest technology in the production of the ZIGGY brand of waters thus, marking it out as a leading table water company in the Southeast region, a claim he said is reflected in the volume of sales the company has been recording since inception.

“We are not boasting or making unverifiable claims. Go to wedding events, burials, naming ceremonies, housewarming ceremonies, political rallies, religious programmes, and other events across the Southeast, if you don’t see the people drinking Ziggy Water, you then know that such a programme has not started,” Achu said.

Speaking further, Chief Achu said that the company is impressed by the kind of feedback they get from their distributors and even last-mile consumers who commend the company for introducing water that gives them a satisfying taste and feel, and ease of handling.

Besides Ziggy Table Water, the company also produces other products such as Ziggy Bottled Water, Ziggy Sachet Water, Gallon Refill, Tank Refill, Bottle Blowing, and Nylon Printing.
