The 10th edition of the Nigeria Innovation Summit (NIS) was successfully held from October 7 to 8, 2025, under the theme “Sustainable Innovation.”

The hybrid event attracted delegates and stakeholders from across the globe, reaffirming its status as a premier platform for advancing innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship in Nigeria and across Africa.

Organised by InnovationHub Africa, the annual summit brings together policymakers, business leaders, academics, investors, and innovators to exchange ideas, explore emerging trends, and develop sustainable solutions to pressing social and economic challenges.

This year’s edition focused on critical areas such as data-driven healthcare, digital transformation, intellectual property monetization, brand innovation, regulatory frameworks, inclusive enterprise development, educational technology, and the future of credit reporting in Nigeria.

A major highlight of the event was the Nigeria Innovations Experience Talks (NiX Talks), powered by the African Innovation Academy, which centred on the theme “Digital Solutions for a Sustainable Transformation and Building Sustainable Solutions for Impact.”

The summit also featured fireside chats, expert panel sessions, quick-pitch presentations, innovation showcases, exhibitions, and engaging discussions on the role of emerging technologies in driving sustainable growth and solving local challenges.

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, served as the Special Guest of Honour, represented by the Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology, Mr. Olatunbosun Alake.

In his remarks, the governor commended the summit for fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship that aligns with the state’s vision of building a smart, technology-driven economy.

Among the distinguished speakers and panelists were Dr. Chinyere Almona, Director-General of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI); Dr. Jameelah Sharrieff–Ayedun, Chairman of the Chartered Bankers Association of Nigeria (CBAN); Prof. Michelle Lane Messina; Nafisat Abdulmalik of eHealth Africa; and Zusi Inegbeniki, Founder of FounderxAI.
