Residents of Anambra State can now register a business, access identification services, report a problem, or track how public money is spent without leaving a single website, following the Anambra State Government’s launch of a redesigned official portal.
Live at https://anambrastate.gov.ng/, the platform is built around what users need to get done rather than around government news alone. Its menu is organised by task, such as finding services, obtaining identification, registering a business and reporting issues, and is meant to serve residents, businesses, investors, visitors and development partners alike.
The site links directly to the state’s digital tools, including SmartGov services and NORA, the state’s digital assistant. It also provides citizen feedback, grievance redress and Freedom of Information channels.
Transparency is a central feature. The Open Government section gives public access to budgets, citizens’ budgets, budget implementation reports, audit reports, procurement plans, contract awards, open data, government documents and FOI requests.
For investors, dedicated pathways cover ease of doing business, public-private partnerships, manufacturing, technology, real estate, agriculture and tourism. The site also tells the story of Anambra’s people, culture and heritage, and lists relevant government offices while connecting users to the systems of Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
The launch marks another step in the state’s digital transformation agenda. The aim is for the website not merely to tell citizens what government is doing, but to help them find services, access information, engage government and explore opportunities from one place.
The state government says it will keep expanding and updating the platform as more services, information and digital tools join its wider digital ecosystem.
