TD Africa placed the spotlight squarely on the power of partnership as it hosted the 12th edition of its flagship “Celebrating You” Awards Night on December 7th, 2025.

Rather than centring the evening on corporate milestones alone, the event underscored a broader message: Africa’s digital resurgence will be driven by collaborative strength, shared vision, and a unified ecosystem of innovators, partners, and industry leaders.

Held at the iconic Eko Hotels & Suites and themed “African Digital Renaissance,” the event drew an impressive blend of technology partners, business leaders, innovators, and national figures, all gathered to honour excellence and reinforce relationships that continue to shape the continent’s tech landscape.

Since its founding in 1999, TD Africa has played a central role in driving digital advancement across the continent. For almost three decades, it has connected global technology brands to African markets through efficient distribution channels, cloud services, and access to innovative tech solutions. But its greatest strengths have always come from its partnerships, and “Celebrating You” exists because of this.

That ethos shaped the tone of the evening. Opening the ceremony, Coordinating Managing Director Chioma Chimere expressed profound appreciation to partners whose trust and performance defined the company’s achievements in 2025. She emphasized that “Celebrating You” is TD Africa’s way of acknowledging these contributions in a meaningful and unforgettable way.

Building on her message, CEO Chioma Ekeh issued a call to action for partners to embrace what she termed the continent’s “Digital Renaissance.”

In her remarks, she declared: “With the power of Technology, we are making a comeback. The interruption is over, African Renaissance is here, and this time it is digital… a renaissance is built by partnerships.” Her address reinforced the strategic role of collaboration in shaping Africa’s future.

A reflective highlight came from Dr. Leo Stan Ekeh, Chairman of the Zinox Group, who stressed that while technology determines the trajectory of the future, character is what sustains its progress, and spoke about the enduring importance of integrity, clarity of purpose, and sound judgment, principles that have guided his decades-long career.

The event’s prestige was further enhanced by the presence of notable figures across technology, business, governance, and social impact. Among them were Ibukun Awosika, former Chairman of First Bank of Nigeria and Special Guest of Honour; Dr. Ernest Ndukwe, former Executive Vice Chairman of the NCC; Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of NiDCOM; Dr. Stella Okoli, Founder/CEO of Emzor Pharmaceuticals; Atedo Peterside, Founder of Stanbic IBTC Bank and Anap Foundation; and Nnamdi Ezeigbo, Founder of SLOT Systems and co-founder of TECNO Mobile.

Throughout the evening, TD Africa honoured individuals and organisations whose contributions shaped an exceptional year. Awards recognised outstanding innovation, project execution, customer service, and strategic collaboration.

The celebrations were capped by a highly anticipated raffle draw, which saw one guest, whose name will be confirmed in a subsequent publication, drive home a brand-new SUV, drawing cheers and excitement from attendees.

Beyond the awards, the night offered rich entertainment that balanced elegance with energy. Styl Plus delivered nostalgic classics; Wande Coal electrified the hall with his performance; Chidalu Ekeh offered a moving spoken-word rendition; and Kenny Blaq kept the audience engaged with his signature humour. The blend of music, comedy, and poetry created a relaxed yet vibrant ambience that embodied the spirit of celebration.

By the close of the evening, a clear message had emerged: Africa’s digital future will depend on the collective strength of those who innovate, collaborate, and pursue excellence with unwavering intent.

Through “Celebrating You,” TD Africa reaffirmed its belief that partners are central to this journey. Every milestone is shared, every success interconnected, and every year presents new opportunities to deepen these bonds.

The 12th edition of “Celebrating You” was more than an awards ceremony. It was a statement of enduring partnership, a testament to progress, and a reflection of the limitless possibilities of a digitally empowered Africa.

As TD Africa looks ahead, it does so with gratitude, renewed purpose, and an unshakeable belief in what can be built together.
