In a decisive move to fortify Nigeria’s digital future, tech distribution giant TD Africa on Tuesday, November 11, welcomed senior executives from global cybersecurity leader Check Point for a high-level strategy session focused on reshaping the nation’s cybersecurity landscape.

Rather than a routine partner visit, the engagement signalled a renewed commitment to building a more resilient, partner-driven cybersecurity ecosystem, one capable of supporting Nigeria’s surging digital transformation across both public and private sectors.

At the heart of the discussions was a shared goal: ensuring that enterprises, institutions, and critical service providers across Nigeria can access and adopt robust, scalable, and proactive cyber-defence solutions powered by Check Point’s advanced technologies.

The meeting explored pathways to deepening market adoption, expanding the channel network, equipping partners with stronger technical and sales capabilities, and boosting national awareness on the urgency of staying ahead of sophisticated cyber threats.

With organisations increasingly reliant on digital platforms, the TD Africa–Check Point collaboration positions both companies as key players in securing Nigeria’s digital economy for the future.

Speaking at the session, Mrs Chioma Ekeh, CEO, TD Africa, emphasised the urgency of robust cybersecurity investments in today’s digital economy.

“Every digital organisation will need to secure its space. It is no longer an option whether to invest in solutions like Checkpoint; it has become imperative. Digital security is not just an IT spend; digital security has become an essential business strategy,” she stated.

The Checkpoint delegation, led by Vincent Mabaso, Channel Lead for Africa, expressed deep appreciation for TD Africa’s longstanding partnership and contributions toward Checkpoint’s growth in the region.

“TD Africa has consistently demonstrated what true partnership means,” said Mabaso. “Their commitment, market reach, and passion for driving cyber security excellence have played a significant role in positioning Checkpoint as a trusted solution for institutions across Nigeria. We value this relationship and look forward to building even greater impact together.”

The meeting reaffirmed the synergy between both organisations and their shared mission to safeguard Africa’s digital future. With cyber threats becoming more sophisticated and frequent, TD Africa and Checkpoint are united in driving solutions that empower businesses to operate confidently, securely, and competitively.

As the pace of digitalisation intensifies across the continent, TD Africa remains steadfast in championing technologies that protect, strengthen, and future-proof African enterprises. Through strategic alliances like this, the company continues to shape a more secure, resilient, and innovative digital ecosystem for Nigeria and beyond.
