Access Bank Plc has signed an agreement with Atlas Mara Limited on a proposed merger between African Banking Corporation Zambia Limited (Atlas Mara Zambia) and Access Bank Zambia Limited. The bank disclosed on Monday in a statement signed by the company secretary, Sunday Ekwochi. This development comes weeks after the bank acquired a majority stake in BancABC Botswana, its fourth acquisition in 2021. MTN has entered into a mobile money partnership with Africa’s payments technology company, Flutterwave. The partnership will allow businesses integrating Flutterwave in Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Rwanda, Uganda and Zambia to receive payments via MTN Mobile Money (MoMo).
