Aritco, the world’s leading home lift manufacturers has a vision to make home lifts a natural part of homeowners’ lives. Their intention is to redefine what a modern home is, making home lifts a must-have for all people striving for a contemporary way of life.
For everybody, the home is a special place. The colours, furniture and details are chosen to fit in with one’s family and life. The designs, sizes and options available with home lifts are perfect for the home environment.
Scandinavia is famous for its classic design. And this is a heritage Aritco Home Lifts care deeply about, and something the manufacturers wish to preserve and develop through the Aritco HomeLift technology, explaining why they had to collaborate with some of Scandinavia’s most prominent designers and artists to make the Aritco HomeLift a true piece of art that one can be proud to have in their homes.
While Aritco’s activities revolve around innovation, reliability and teamwork, the manufacturers constantly seek new ways to improve, both when it comes to the product, environmental impact and quality, as well as the design and user friendliness. Yet, safety and reliability is a top priority, and, of course, in line with Europe’s highest quality and safety standards.
Here in Nigeria, the International Elevators Nigeria Limited is the sole franchise holders of Aritco Home Lifts. Its Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ndubueze Onyeka has been leading a team of young Nigerians spreading the good news coming from the manufacturers of this latest home lift technology, Aritco.
Onyeka told digitaltimesng.com that the Aritco Home Lift is a lift that every lover of beautiful homes must have in their homes, noting that Aritco Lift is a departure from conventional lifts- the lifts that come with shafts, machine rooms and pits.
Talking specifically about the technology behind the product, Onyeka said Aritco is the world’s first connected home lift, that comes bundled with an app called SmartLift, which enables one to control the lighting of their Aritco Home Lift.
“You can also set up your own lighting schedules, such as having the light turn on every morning at 7 am. And if that isn’t enough, the app will also notify you when your lift needs maintenance or repairs.”
He stated that the Aritco HomeLift has a well-tested and reliable screw and nut drive system, developed and adapted to the requirements of a home environment – silent and smooth with a soft start and stop.
“Every Lift like you know, even the high rise or hotel, has the shaft, machine room or pit as the case may be. But the Aritco Lift has no shaft, no pit, and no machine room. It complements the aesthetics of modern luxury homes. Aritco Lift drives on bolt screw; it doesn’t require the complexities you have in standard Lift in respect to what we call the traction, the belt, the counterweight, the door system and the rest of that. Originally, this one runs on a screw. In fact, almost 60 to 70 percent of the totality of components of a standard elevator is removed in Aritco Lift,” Onyeka said.
The Aritco Nigeria Chief Executive said safety has been a key consideration throughout the entire process of developing Aritco home lift.
“Kids will play around and in the lift, and we want the whole family to feel completely safe. We have, therefore, developed the Aritco SmartSafety system, which includes smart doors that feel if something is in the way, and if so, automatically open again. It is also possible to lock the lift, preventing children or anyone else from using it.
“The door system is simple. As a matter of fact, it runs on green technology; it comes on one phase, two phases, and three phases. The standard elevator, the one that goes on high rise comes on three phases. But this one comes on one phase, which means a small generator can power it.
“It’s a low energy consumption lift. That was why we went for it, trying to move away from the conventional, standard Lift, known to Nigerians to something that would add colour to their buildings. The standard Lift we do is from South Korea which is known as the International Elevator (i-elevator),” Onyeka said.
Continuing, Onyeka who was in Kungsängen, Sweden, where the Aritco Lifts are developed and produced said, “We have also incorporated a function that ensures the lift will run on batteries in the event of a power failure, so you are always able to lower the lift to the nearest floor and get out. The lift is equipped with a function, which prevents the batteries from discharging when the power in the house is off.
“All Aritco HomeLifts have an alarm button that is connected to an autodialer, which can be used to make emergency calls. You are always able to call one of the pre-programmed numbers from the lift.”
He said Aritco Lift with such models as the Aritco 4000 and Aritco 6000, is tailored to homes, while Aritco 7000 and 9000 are for platforms which can be done indoor or outdoor.
“We are the Nigerian partners to Aritco Sweden. Already, we are getting clients buying into the product. We are already partnering with Address Homes, and with its luxury homes in Banana Island and other areas, we believe God that this is going to open the market space for us.
“In Abuja, we have held discussions with the likes of Dantata, Urban Shelters and others during the Abuja Housing Show. We are going to fully participate in the same show this year. That’s why I travelled to Sweden to cement the business relationship with Aritco Sweden,” he stated.
20 years after making its debut with the simple idea of improving mobility everywhere, today, Aritco lifts can be found in more than 30,000 buildings and private homes around the world. Yet, it has continued to maintain the highest quality in every detail, from design to installation in your home
