Starbase Technologies, a global technology ecosystem connecting creators and innovators to develop technology solutions and launch software projects, has unveiled Yolly, a new social entertainment platform that seeks to transform digital engagement by enabling users to earn rewards for watching, streaming, and creating content.

The launch signals a shift from traditional social media models, where financial benefits are often concentrated among established influencers and large audiences, to a more inclusive ecosystem that recognises and rewards every participant who contributes value online.

At the heart of the platform is Stars, Yolly’s native digital rewards currency, which users accumulate through meaningful participation across content viewing, live streaming and creation.

The rewards-based system is designed to ensure that creators, viewers and brands all benefit from their engagement within the ecosystem.

Unlike conventional platforms that require creators to reach follower or subscriber thresholds before accessing monetisation opportunities, Yolly allows creators to earn from their very first stream.

Emerging talents also gain immediate access to community-building tools such as gifting features, Boosts and the Founder Creator badge, enabling them to grow their audiences from the outset.

Viewers are equally integrated into the rewards economy through the platform’s watch+ feature, which allows users to earn Stars simply by consuming content they enjoy, starting from their first session.

For businesses and advertisers, Yolly introduces a transparent alternative to impression-based advertising.

Through verified engagement metrics, per-minute performance data, real-time analytics and brand safety controls, the platform enables brands to measure audience attention more accurately while engaging consumers in a trusted digital environment.

Speaking on the launch, Head of Business at Yolly, Emeka Okenwa, said the platform was created to build a more equitable and sustainable creator economy.

“The platform has been developed on the premise that the future of the creator economy should be more inclusive, more rewarding, and built around genuine communities rather than algorithms alone,” Okenwa said.

He added that Yolly was founded on the principle that social platforms should promote wholesome, family-oriented content while providing viewers, creators and brands with a safe environment to connect, create and grow.

Yolly offers a broad range of content categories, including entertainment, sports, lifestyle, education, technology and live events, positioning itself as a destination for meaningful engagement and shared digital value.
