MTN Nigeria has launched MTN Loyalty Coins, a loyalty programme on the myMTN NG app that recognises and rewards customers for living a truly digital lifestyle.

Delivered in partnership with Bvndle, a Loyalty-as-a-Service platform, the programme allows customers to earn coins on qualifying transactions on the app and redeem them for airtime, data, shopping and a wide range of lifestyle benefits.

The initiative is built on a simple conviction that customers who choose to live and transact digitally should get more back for doing so.

As more Nigerians manage their connectivity, payments and daily needs from their smartphones, MTN wants every qualifying interaction on the myMTN NG app to deliver tangible value, turning routine recharges and data purchases into rewards that make a real difference in everyday life.

MTN Loyalty Coins is also a direct expression of MTN Nigeria’s strategic drive to enable digital, social and financial inclusion. By rewarding customers for using the app, the programme encourages wider adoption of simple, fast and secure digital self-service.

By making coins redeemable for everyday essentials such as food, groceries and bill payments, as well as airtime and data, it puts real value back into household budgets. And by connecting customers to a broad marketplace of merchants through Bvndle, it widens access to products and services while supporting the businesses that serve them.

Each MTN Loyalty Coin has a fixed redemption value of ₦10, making the programme transparent and easy for customers to understand. MTN subscribers who download the myMTN NG app for the first time will also receive welcome coins, providing an immediate opportunity to begin earning and redeeming rewards.

Coins can be redeemed on the Bvndle marketplace within the myMTN NG app across three categories: telco benefits (airtime and data); daily essentials (bill payments, food and groceries); and lifestyle benefits (health and wellness, fashion, books and entertainment).

Speaking on the initiative, Chief Marketing Officer, MTN Nigeria, Onyinye Ikenna-Emeka, said: “Our customers are living more of their lives digitally, and we believe they should be recognised and rewarded for it.

“MTN Loyalty Coins” is our way of saying thank you: every time a customer chooses the convenience of the myMTN NG app, they earn real value they can spend on what matters to them, from airtime and data to groceries and lifestyle treats. This is central to our ambition of enabling digital, social and financial inclusion and to our belief that everyone deserves the benefits of a modern, connected life.”

Highlighting the broader value of the initiative, Ikechukwu Nwaguru, Acting Managing Director, Bvndle Loyalty Limited, said, “Loyalty should mean more than earning points; it should create value customers can use every day. Through our partnership with MTN Nigeria, we are connecting customers to a wider network where their everyday digital activities translate into meaningful rewards.

“At Bvndle, we are building the infrastructure that makes loyalty work better for everyone: businesses can reward the behaviours that matter, customers can enjoy real value, and merchants can benefit from increased engagement and transactions. MTN Loyalty Coins brings this vision to life at scale, making rewards more accessible, useful and rewarding for millions of Nigerians.”

MTN Loyalty Coins forms part of MTN Nigeria’s wider commitment to making the myMTN NG app an everyday digital companion for its customers, one that simplifies their digital lives and creates greater value beyond core connectivity.
