MTN Nigeria has announced a two-hour network maintenance exercise in parts of Borno State, warning customers of possible temporary disruptions to telecommunications services across four Local Government Areas.
The exercise, scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2026, between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., will affect subscribers in Jere, Kaga, Konduga and Maiduguri Local Government Areas.
During the maintenance period, customers may experience interruptions to voice calls, mobile data, SMS and other network-dependent services, including 2G, 3G and 4G connectivity, as well as selected enterprise services.
The telecommunications company said normal services are expected to resume immediately after the completion of the exercise.
According to MTN, the planned maintenance forms part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen critical network infrastructure, improve network reliability and resilience, and deliver better service quality to customers and businesses.
The company explained that regular infrastructure maintenance is necessary to sustain network performance and ensure a more stable and dependable connectivity experience for subscribers.
MTN Nigeria expressed regret over any inconvenience the exercise might cause, while appealing to affected customers for their understanding and patience during the maintenance window.
The company also reiterated its commitment to continued investment in network improvements to strengthen connectivity, enhance service delivery and improve customer experience across the country.
