Moniebook, the business management platform under the Moniepoint Group, has stepped up efforts to strengthen relationships with its merchant community, bringing business owners together in Lagos for an engagement aimed at improving service delivery and expanding access to its business solutions.
The gathering, tagged “An Evening with Moniebook,” provided a platform for merchants to interact directly with the company’s leadership, explore new features of the platform and familiarise themselves with the wider range of services available across the Moniepoint Group.
The event, which was the platform’s first major merchant gathering since its launch last year, also provided an opportunity for Moniebook to obtain direct feedback from business owners on their operational challenges, experiences and expectations.
Held during Customer Service Week, the mixer underscored the company’s commitment to building stronger merchant relationships through direct engagement and a better understanding of the needs of businesses using its solutions.
Participants included merchants from Lagos’ food and hospitality industry, among them Eat n Go, the franchise group behind Domino’s Pizza, Cold Stone Creamery and Pinkberry Gourmet Frozen Yoghurt, as well as Fruity Life, a healthy food and beverage brand.
Other participants represented sectors such as retail, logistics, professional services and healthcare, highlighting the diversity of businesses leveraging Moniebook to manage their daily operations.
Beyond networking, the event was designed to provide merchants with first-hand knowledge of the platform’s capabilities and the broader Moniepoint ecosystem.
Attendees received live demonstrations of Moniebook’s latest features and presentations from its leadership team. They were also introduced to other services within the Moniepoint Group, including Monnify’s payment infrastructure, business loans and savings products.
An interactive session provided merchants with the opportunity to ask questions, share their experiences and communicate their business needs directly to the team, offering insights that could inform the platform’s future development.
The gathering also had strategic significance following Moniepoint’s acquisition of Orda Africa earlier this year, as it provided an avenue to formally introduce former Orda merchants to Moniebook’s business management tools and the wider Moniepoint ecosystem.
The initiative reflects the Group’s one-customer philosophy, which seeks to ensure that merchants accessing any of its products can benefit from the full range of services available across its business ecosystem.
Speaking at the event, Kolawole Osinowo, Head, Business Management Tools at Moniebook, said the engagement was an important opportunity to understand merchants’ experiences and identify areas for improvement.
“We built Moniebook to help businesses manage their day-to-day operations more effectively. Bringing our merchants together gave us an opportunity to hear directly from them, understand their experiences and learn how we can serve them better.
“Their feedback will help shape what we build next, and we look forward to creating more opportunities for our merchants to connect with us and with one another,” he said.
The event attracted positive feedback from participants, with several merchants expressing interest in having more opportunities to interact with the Moniebook team and network with other business owners.
Through initiatives such as the merchant mixer, Moniebook is seeking to strengthen its relationship with business owners while continuously improving the technology and services available to support their operations.
The platform’s engagement strategy also highlights the Moniepoint Group’s broader ambition to provide businesses with an integrated ecosystem of tools spanning business management, payments and financial services.
