Access Holdings Plc has announced the retirement of Mr Olanrewaju Bamisebi as Executive Director in charge of Information Technology and Digitalisation, following the expiration of his term contract on September 30, 2026.
The retirement is in line with the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) Corporate Governance Guidelines for Financial Holding Companies in Nigeria, which prescribe limits on the number and composition of executive directors in financial holding companies.
The company disclosed the development in a regulatory filing submitted to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), formally notifying the Exchange and the investing public of Bamisebi’s exit from the position.
Under the CBN guidelines, a financial holding company is permitted to have a maximum of two executive directors: the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer and one other executive director, who must be the Chief Financial Officer, subject to the regulator’s approval.
Bamisebi’s retirement brings the composition of Access Holdings’ executive leadership in line with the regulatory requirements.
The Board of Directors of Access Holdings expressed appreciation to the outgoing executive director for his dedicated service and contributions to the digital transformation and growth of Access Group during his tenure.
The Board also wished him continued success in his future endeavours.
The development marks a leadership transition in the group’s technology and digitalisation function as the financial holding company continues to operate within the corporate governance framework prescribed by the CBN.
